Be charitable: Allah loves those who are charitable (Al Quran 2:195)
The importance on charity and giving in Islam is seen throughout the Qur’an and in hadith. It is a moral principle shared by many faiths as well.
The Holy Qur’an says, "Those who give to charity night and day, secretly and publicly, receive their recompense from their Lord; they will have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve. (2:274)"
No other nation in recent history has been through as much as Pakistanis have and every time their resolve is tested, they stand up taller than before.
These are our PEOPLE.The worst monsoon floods in Pakistan in living memory have displaced millions of people who urgently need food, shelter, clean water and healthcare. Helping Hands Worldwide is giving emergency assistance to survivors by giving them the basics for survival.
Through Helping Hands Worldwide Pakistan Flood campaign, we aim to help as many families as we can through the coming months and beyond, and for this we need you to join hands with us.

The floods began in late July and lasted for weeks - some areas are still under water. Around 20 million people were affected - one-third made homeless. In parts of the south and east, numerous villages were swallowed up by the swollen Indus river as it gushed toward the Arabian Sea. More than a million homes were affected in southern Sindh province alone, according to United Nations figures.
The U.N. has asked international donors for $346 million to provide flood victims with emergency shelter, such as tents, and transitional shelter, which are basic structures that typically last a few years. It has so far received only 20 percent of that request.
With their villages in shambles, winter on its way and government help slow to arrive, Pakistan's flood victims are scrambling to rebuild their homes. Many are taking on debt as the price of construction materials has soared following the disaster that damaged or destroyed 1.9 million houses.
Aid agencies say they, too, are facing the time crunch and are running short of funds to provide temporary shelter for those displaced by the deluge.
Even getting transitional shelters up and running takes time. Helping Hands Worldwide aims to build small houses in the effected areas before winter hits.
Your donation of $800 will enable us to build a small house for the flood victim family.
Many affected communities are without clean water so one of the first responses was to distribute chlorine tablets to allow families to purify water to drink. Now the race is on to provide more sustainable water supplies for flood-hit communities living in small tent cities that have sprung up on high ground.
Many communities along the river relied on open wells that have been contaminated by floodwater. Helping Hands Worldwide is:
Lack of clean drinking water is a major problem in flood affected areas. Water-borne diseases are rampant in economically depressed rural areas because clean running water (typically provided by the municipalities), is simply not available. The only alternative is to install hand pumps or deep wells (drilled wells) to draw clean water from the ground.
A Hand Pump by $200 donation will provide clean water.
Because of recent floods, countless families are unable to have their daughters and sisters get married.
Helping Hands Worldwide is providing supports to the parents in these difficult situations by providing them with basic items necessary for newlywed girls including dresses, shoes, utensils, bedding, fan, sewing machine, etc. as well as financial assistance where needed for other marriage related expenditures. Helping Hnads Worldwide has come up with the unique idea of arranging Group Weddings for these young girls.
A donation of $850.00 will help us organize a Group Wedding of the young girls affected by recent floods, whose families lost everything and are unable to marry their girls.
It is estimated that out of 20 million people affected by the flood crisis in Pakistan, at least six million are in need of life-saving humanitarian assistance and health care.
Acute diarrhoea, acute respiratory conditions and skin infections, such as scabies, have achieved the highest affliction rates, with over 650,000 cases reported between July 29 and August 18 based on patient visits to health facilities in worst-hit areas.
Aid is needed; specifically items including water purification tablets in order to treat the growing cases of dehydration and provide potable water to the people that have been affected by the worst ever floods to affect Pakistan. Potable water and sanitation interventions are needed to significantly decrease complications and prevent the outbreak of serious waterborne diseases, such as cholera, in communities.
Please extend your help to people affected by this disaster!
Remember the words of the Quran “Save a Life, Save All Humanity"
Let us extend our helping hands to the victims of this disaster.
